Nathan J. Kapa

President

Nathan Kapa is a Certified Prosthetist and President of Bremer Prosthetics in Flint, MI. Nate is also a partner with Baranek Kapa Prosthetics in private practices that focus on providing specialty prosthetic care throughout Mid-Michigan.


While Nate has focused much of his 22-year career on providing patient care, he has also been active in advocacy at both the state and national levels. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Michigan Orthotics and Prosthetics Association for more than 10 years, serving as President, Vice President, and currently Secretary. Nate has actively defended the state’s Auto No-Fault Laws and fought to protect the rights of people injured in automobile accidents. Nate also serves as a Lead Advocate for the So EveryBODY Can Move initiative.


For the past 13 years, Nate and his business partner, Scott Baranek, have run the Step Up Amputee Strength Training Program. Step Up is a free exercise program focused on helping amputees reach their
maximum functional potential by keeping people engaged in exercise once their PT benefits expire.
